Ballard Library Eco-Roof

Ballard Library, originally uploaded by Hydrotech6125.
The living roof of the Ballard Library is a beautiful example of a green sustainable roof covering. Cool in Summer and retaining the heat in the winter and using rainfall for watering, this is a great example of a living roof.

  1. I love the idea of making this establishment an Eco-friendly one. I would love to have an eco-friendly living roof as well. Can I do this idea on carports? Carports are located outside the establishment and it would also be a good idea to put some living roofs to make the whole structure compelling and beautiful.

  2. This is fabulous indeed. Aside from the fact that this architecture is unique, the entire concept is amazingly incredulous. The idea of putting live plants on the roof is a very good way to make this establishment an environmental friendly place.
